   or Sp. dragoman, or It. dragomanno; all fr. LGr. ?, Ar.
   tarjum[=a]n, from the same source as E. targum. Cf.
   Drogman, Truchman.]
   An interpreter; -- so called in the Levant and other parts of
   the East.
