Dispend \Dis*pend"\, v. t. [OF. despendre, L. dispendere to
   weigh out, dispense; dis- + pendere to weigh. See Pension,
   Spend, and cf. Dispense.]
   To spend; to lay out; to expend. [Obs.] --Spenser.

         Able to dispend yearly twenty pounds and above.
